Chehalem Ridge Brands is a small company producing all natural 100% fruit salsas. We use only premium fruit and all natural ingredients with no preservatives and no tomatoes. Our fruit salsas are very distinctive, full of fruit flavor and plenty of pepper heat. Developed to be low calorie, fat free and cholesterol free, our fruit salsas can be a healthy alternative for many foods.  Most importantly they are not jams or jellies as they do not have the added sugar a pepper jelly or jam will have.  They are true salsas and are also vegan and gluten free.  They are true salsas and are also vegan and gluten free.  Our products combine the flavors of New Mexico with a Pacific Northwest influence and Portland flair for different and unusual foods. Due to the many requests, and because there are no tomato fillers in our products, the popularity of these salsas is growing. Additional flavors are under consideration along with some old family recipes that are waiting on the back burner to find their way to market. We strive to make our fruit salsas a delectable gourmet food experience, whether you are enjoying them as a snack or have included them in your finest culinary meal. Our Mission

Our Story

Ours is a different story.  These aren’t family recipes that were handed down.  We started by trying to develop a recipe to match a product we loved, a fiery raspberry salsa.  It was very unusual but extremely good.  When the company stopped making it we were very disappointed so we decided we’d try to make it ourselves.  However, we never quite got the same taste in our results.  After many attempts we were going to try again but after getting everything into the bowl we discovered we had no tomatoes.  So we tried the salsa without tomatoes and it was amazing.  We later tried a pineapple salsa without tomatoes and it too was extremely good.  We continued to make them occasionally for our own consumption. On our daughter’s 23rd birthday she had some friends up from college to help her celebrate and spend the night.  The next morning we wanted to make something to snack on while waiting for breakfast and recalled we had a few blueberries in the refrigerator.  When the girls came down for breakfast I was making the blueberry salsa.  The girls thought that sounded “not so good”.  But when they tried it they couldn’t get enough and said we should be making this and selling it.  That’s when our company was conceived. Our labels are an expression of our love of music and dancing.  After meeting in college we would frequent the country and western hangouts to listen to the bands and dance.  We wanted to bring that same feeling to our products.  Sherrie is very creative and aritstic and came up with the idea of the ‘dancing fruit characters’.  The names of our products resulted from our love of music and we wanted to give them a musical themed name.  We hope you enjoy them and the very distinctive labels.
